Hi! Welcome to Mahj with Amanda!

Mahjong has become so much more than just a game for me—and for so many others. It’s something that challenges you, connects you, and brings incredible people into your life. At its core, mahjong is about community and relationships—and that’s exactly what I hope to create at every table.

I’m a nearly 20-year educator, having served as both a teacher and school administrator, with a focus on teacher training and professional learning. I bring that same skill set into my mahjong instruction—breaking the game down in a way that’s clear, engaging, and confidence-building for every player.

When I’m not at the table, I’m a wife, a proud mom of two, and a dog mom, too. I also serve as the president of my local school board, and I care deeply about the community I’m a part of.

Mahj with Amanda is about more than learning a game—it’s about bringing people together. Through partnerships with local businesses and thoughtfully planned events, my goal is to create experiences that feel welcoming, connected, and just a little bit special.
